Blue Tansy, Tanacetum annuum
Pure Essential Oil

Obtained by steam distillation from the flowering plants. Dark blue liquid with a warm sweet floral odour (blue color is made during distillation). Do not confuse it with Common Tansy, Tanacetum vulgare that is poisonous due to high thujone content. Another confusion is that some people call Blue Tansy the Moroccan Chamomile, which is not Tansy at all (see Chamomile) but rather Ormenis mixta, a flower that belongs to family Compositae, like Chamomiles.
