One of the most costly and precious oils of ancient times, described in the Bible. Obtained by steam distillation from the dried and crushed roots and rhizomes. Pale yellow oil with heavy, sweet-woody spicy-animal odour similar to valerian oil.
Main Components: gurjunene, patchoulene, hydroxyaristolenone, patchouli alcohol.
