Massage

The massage oils used by Ms Lavenda services contain Jojoba oil, Olive oil and Shea butter. No artificial components and preservatives are present.
The oils containing cannabinoids are additionally supplemented with essential oils of Peppermint, Spanish Sage and Spike Lavender, so that they contain on average the following aromatic compounds:
Menthol - 4%
1,8-Cineole - 3.3%
Camphor and Menthone - 2% each
All those compounds are analgesic.

Analysis of cannabinoids by thin Layer Chromatography used in CBD/Cannabis Ms Lavenda massage oils.
On the photo below, from left to right: THC/CBD standards, 1 microgram each. The next two lanes is the material present in 0.2 microliters of the massage oil containing CBD and Cannabis oil, respectively. The last two lanes is the material present in 6 microliters of the massage oil containing CBD and Cannabis oil, respectively. The photo lists the actual cannabinoids amounts. Both massage oils contain 10 mg/mL (milligrams per milliliter) of CBD. The amount of oil used per massage is approximately 20 mL, that is, 100 mg CBD. The same CBD isolate used to make "hemp oil" is also sold by us as 10% or 20% CBD oil in C8 MCT coconut oil, see Ms Lavenda Products page.

TLC analysis

Note about CBD isolate and full spectrum hemp oil.

There are two advantages of CBD isolates (highly purified from hemp CBD proparations) and one disadvantage over full spectrum hemp CBD oils.

The first disadvantage is the uncontrolled amount of THC in the full spectrum preparations. They are all supposed to be 0.3% or below in THC content, so really, there is no danger of getting high by ingestion of the full spectrum oil, however, ingestion of larger amounts of it may lead to failed THC drug tests. The CBD isolates contain much less or none of THC than the full spectrum preparations, so that a failed drug test is unlikely. See the analysis of various CBD oils below.

TLC analysis

Thin layer chromatography (TLC) of cannabinoids. Lane1: cannabinoid standards; Lane 2 and 3: CBD isolates; Lane 4 and 5: Full spectrum hemp CBD preparations. Besides the standards, each lane contained 20 micrograms of cannabinoids. Analysis of our product that we sell performed by an indepentent lab revealed 0.00% THC.

The second reason why the CBD isolates are preferable is the price. Full spectrum CBD oils are usually at least twice more expensive on the market than the isolates. Ms Lavenda's FS CBD oil is a rare exception. If you buy the full spectrum oils you are usually paying a hefty price for mostly inactive acetylated CBD - see the orange-stained bands in the lanes 4-6 and small amounts of other cannabinoids. FS CBD preparations presented here show visible amount of  THC. Usually there is 1/100th of the CBD amount of two other most prominet cannabinoids present in hemp oils, THC and CBG, and even much less of the others, too little to show on the analysis photo above.

Due to very small amounts other than CBD cannabinoids the FS CBD oils are are not significantly superior over CBD isolate oils, but if the price is comparable and if there is no THC issue for you than the FS oils have the advantage. The presence of terpenes is also a plus for FS CBD oils.

Some companies sell hemp seed oil, otherwise a very nutritious but with short shelf life, similarly unstable as the flax seed oil. Hemp seeds do not contain cannabinoids, but unfortunately some vendors unethically suggest CBD presence in a hemp seed oils they sell. If you have doubts about your preparation, we may anazyze it for you by TLC. Free analysis of for standard massage clients (one sample per massage).
