Obtained by solvent extraction of benzoin resin. It is a yellow-brown viscous oil with a light sweet balsamic vanillin-like odour.
Main Components: linalol, methyl chavicol.
Actions*: antiseptic, sedative, astringent, deodorant, expectorant.
Applications*: relaxing nervous system, bronchitis, asthma, skin healing, fixative (enhances and prolonges other scents).
